What To Expect At Your First Visit

- Functional Lab Testing We review your existing labwork, if any, and recommend advanced testing that goes beyond standard panels to uncover hidden imbalances, nutrient deficiencies, and root causes that conventional medicine often misses.
- Personalized Treatment Plan Based on our findings, we create your custom healing protocol that combines the most effective natural therapies, lifestyle modifications, and targeted interventions designed specifically for your unique health challenges and goals.
- Ongoing Care & Support Treatments typically follow the initial consultation, as we wait for lab results. These results then guide us in further tailoring your protocol, with ongoing adjustments to both treatments and supplements based on your body's response and to maximize your progress.
Prepare For Your First Visit
Your first visit marks the beginning of a true healthcare partnership. We will spend quality time understanding not just your symptoms, but you as a whole person so that we can help you achieve the vibrant health you deserve.
- Complete your new patient forms After scheduling your new patient appointment, you will receive an email invitation to create your login for our secure patient portal, where you can complete all forms electronically- no printing or scanning required.
- Gather your health information Upload any recent lab results, imaging, medication lists, or supplement information to your patient portal, or email them to hello@createwellnesslajolla.com for review during your visit.
- Plan your arrival Arriving early to your new patient appointment will give you time to settle in beforehand. If you have not completed your forms, please arrive 45 minutes prior to your scheduled time to complete the forms in our clinic.
Cancellation Policy: New patient appointments require 48 business hours notice for cancellation or rescheduling, otherwise full payment is charged. For Monday appointments, notify us by the preceding Thursday.
Our Story
Dr.Nikzad started create wellness in 2004. She was always passionate about health and healing, started eating healthy and living a healthy lifestyle. At that time there was not a lot of holistic medicine around or offices and she wanted to offer something for people so they could come and balance their brain and body. One of the first out there. Wanted to offer really good patient care and fill this gap with love, attention and help patients feel heard. During covid she remained open because she wanted patients to be able to keep their immune system strong etc. We want to have an inviting, relaxing and beautiful office. Attention to detail and zen environment. Has done more than 100,000 treatments.

Do you accept insurance?
While we don’t directly accept insurance, some of our services may be eligible for reimbursement through your health insurance plan. We are happy to provide superbills to help you submit to your insurance company. We have also created flexible payment options for our treatment packages and wellness programs to make our services more accessible, because we believe everyone deserves quality healthcare.
Will I receive treatment during my first appointment?
The new patient appointment with Dr. Roya Nikzad focuses on comprehensive evaluation, as we need time to thoroughly understand your health history and review lab testing and treatment options. That visit lasts 60 to 90 minutes, and typically does not include a treatment. Please note, a new patient appointment with our acupuncturist will include treatment.
Do you see patients who live outside San Diego?
Yes, we work with patients from across the country and worldwide through virtual consultations. For those unable to visit in-person, we offer comprehensive phone and video appointments that include lab testing coordination, supplement protocols, lifestyle recommendations, and ongoing progress monitoring.
Do you treat children?
Yes, we specialize in pediatric care from newborns to teenagers. Children often respond exceptionally well to gentle, natural therapies like NAET, while acupuncture is typically reserved for older children who are comfortable with the treatment.

If they are unable to attend, don’t worry, we will make sure you have all the information and support you need during your appointment.
