Acupuncture

How It Works

Rooted in Traditional Chinese Medicine, acupuncture is an ancient healing practice that works by regulating the flow of energy or Qi (pronounced “chee”) through the body’s meridians. When energy flow is disrupted, health issues arise. By inserting ultra-fine, sterile needles at specific points, acupuncture helps remove these blockages, allowing energy to flow freely and stimulating your body’s natural healing mechanisms.

At Create Wellness, we offer acupuncture as a holistic solution for chronic pain, stress, and other health challenges. Our skilled practitioners customize treatments to target the root causes of your symptoms, helping you achieve lasting relief. To enhance your experience and further support your treatment plan, we may incorporate complementary therapies like gua sha and cupping.

Benefits of Acupuncture

Scientific research now confirms what has been known for centuries– acupuncture can effectively treat a wide range of physical and emotional conditions. In addition to stimulating the release of endorphins, improving circulation, and balancing the nervous system, acupuncture also offers the following powerful benefits:

  • Alleviate acute and chronic pain
  • Reduce inflammation
  • Calm stress and anxiety
  • Enhance sleep quality
  • Strengthen immune function
  • Minimize headaches and migraines
  • Support digestive health
  • Balance hormones
  • Foster fertility and reproduction
  • Boost mental health
  • Accelerate recovery from surgery
  • Improve skin conditions

What to Expect

  • Consult & Treatment Your first visit will include a thorough consultation followed by treatment in a private, tranquil setting.
  • During Treatment Relax comfortably while thin, sterile needles are gently inserted into targeted acupuncture points. Most patients experience little to no discomfort, and some fall asleep during treatment.
  • Aftercare Some patients feel immediate improvement in their symptoms, while others experience detoxification like symptoms. We recommend staying hydrated and listening to your body, allowing for rest as needed to support the healing process.

How to Prepare for Treatment

  • Upon arrival, please use the restroom and wash your hands, to avoid any interruptions during your treatment.
  • Avoid wearing scented lotions, perfumes, or colognes that may trigger reactions in other patients.
  • Eat well before your appointment due to the dietary avoidance that may follow after treatment.
  • If you are planning to receive acupuncture with your NAET, wear loose, comfortable clothing that can be rolled up past the elbows and knees. If needed, we can provide towels for draping.

In addition to acupuncture, we offer the following Chinese Medicine modalities:
